St. Francis of Assisi Church in Southport is a Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) between the Church of England and the Methodist Church, founded in March 1987. Initially, services were held in a local school, then a prefabricated building before moving into a permanent building on Folkestone Road in 1997. The church is known for its traditional, mainly liturgical worship style, and its vibrant atmosphere embracing the traditions of both denominations.
